Leadership TeamAs Chief Operating Officer of WJ Technologies, LLC (WiJiT), Christine works with aerospace and information technology government contractors and has consulted extensively on Deltek GCS Premier® and Deltek Costpoint® accounting packages. She advises clients on financial and operational issues including general ledger chart-of-accounts, account reconciliation, monthly and year-end closings, financial statement reporting and maintenance, and federal and state taxes.
Christine has been outsourced to serve as an Interim Controller where she supervises and trains managers and staff. She has maintained general ledgers for entities with numerous divisions, performed monthly budgeting and projections, and prepared internal consolidated financial statements. On occasion, Christine has temporarily filled in for various accounting positions for the firm’s government contractor clients.
Christine is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She participates in firm management by supervising and training new staff, and writing articles for newsletters and mass mailing media. Christine is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants.
Ms. Louis has over 15 years of experience in accounting and project management. She joined WiJiT in 2008 and serves as Managing Member. She has successfully managed professional services and client relationships for over 35 clients and currently oversees a staff of 8 employees.
Ms. Louis specializes in software configuration, training, and deployment of Deltek Costpoint®, Deltek GCS Premier®, and Deltek Time and Expense™. With her diverse background, she is able to combine hers skills in accounting and project management to offer customers superior solutions. Her experience as both a user and implementer allows Karen to give clients valuable insight into how to configure software and most efficiently operate the software in their respective markets.
Karen’s depth of experience and leadership ensure that projects keep within timescales and budgetary constraints. She has been responsible for several system conversions, management of reporting requirements, and business process enhancements all utilizing Deltek accounting software. Ms. Louis also provides an extensive range of advisory services for Government contractors including FAR/CAS compliance, indirect cost rate structures, cost reporting, preparation and review of incurred cost submissions, and interfacing with DCAA auditors.
Ms. Louis’ prior experience includes holding a Senior Manager position with Watkins, Meegan, Drury & Company, LLC (Watkins Meegan) in the Government Contracting and Technology Industry Group.
Ms. Louis is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She has performed financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for various types of companies. Karen is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants and was voted a 2007 Super CPA by Virginia Business Magazine.
Cindy serves as WiJiT’s Costpoint Practice Director. She directs consulting programs which focus on both software implementation services as well as ensuring our clients fully leverage the capabilities of Deltek Costpoint®. She is accountable for overall project delivery including project planning, project management, organizational change management, risk management and the quality of WiJiT’s consulting services. She brings a wealth of Deltek Costpoint® experience, having previously held many strategic roles at Deltek during her 15 year tenure.
At Deltek, Cindy served in multiple strategic positions including Managing Director of Professional Services, Costpoint Product Director, Costpoint Practice Director and Director of European Consulting Services. Prior to joining Deltek, Cindy was the VP of Finance and Controller at BCI Inc, a Deltek client. She began her career as an auditor at Deloitte Touche, LLP.
Cindy is a skilled leader with strong financial and Deltek Costpoint® business applications experience. She has a unique blend of expertise which spans finance operations, product marketing and management, pre-sales support, professional services management, P&L management, implementation delivery, project management and client relationship management. Cindy is versatile in operating both strategically and tactically, and communicating effectively with all client levels ranging from C-level to technical.
Cindy earned her MBA from George Mason University, and earned her BA from Gettysburg College.
Joining WiJiT in 2011, Drew brings over 16 years of IT consulting experience, more than 12 of them working with hundreds of Deltek customers from the smallest up to some of the largest. Serving as the IT Solutions Director he works to help WiJiT's customers get the most out of their Deltek applications and IT Infrastructure.
Drew's consulting focus over the years has been IT Management Strategy, IT Infrastructure, Virtualization, Networking, Oracle/SQL Server Database Administration/Optimization and, of course, designing, deploying and maintaining systems for Deltek applications.
Drew's previous positions include owning/operating a successful IT consulting company, Corporate Infrastructure Manager for Universities Space Research Association, Principal Technical Consultant for Deltek and Cryptologic Linguist in the U.S. Air Force. He also volunteers a large portion of his free time as the Technology Director of a small non-profit focused on the advancement of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. Having been on all sides of the equation, vendor, customer and partner gives him a perspective that's well rounded and suited to providing customers with exactly what they need, when they need it.
Samuel M. Heman-Ackah II joined Watkins Meegan in 2010 as a manager of the Government Contracting group in the Tyson's Corner office. In 2011 he transferred to WJ Technologies, LLC (WiJiT) to leverage his experience in Government Contract Accounting and Costpoint implementations. With over 15 years of experience, Mr. Heman-Ackah has a diverse background in accounting starting at one of the Big 4. Prior to joining Watkins Meegan and WiJiT, Mr. Heman-Ackah most recently was responsible for overseeing accounting functions of over 20 accounting staff for a Business Unit with $500 million in yearly revenues and 3,000 employees. In addition, he is an expert in Deltek Costpoint, having gained experience both as a user and in implementation for clients. Since joining WiJiT, Mr. Heman-Ackah has advised clients on various issues including fixed assets, indirect rates, pool design and implementation, Cognos Report Development, month and year-end close, 1099 reporting, account reconciliations, business process consulting, as well as providing various other solutions to client challenges.
Mr. Heman-Ackah joins WiJiT with an exceptional skill set in risk services and over 12 years of experience in the government contracting industry making him a great value to the team. He has performed research and analysis on FAR regulations for complex contract issues and special investigations. In addition he has worked on several Costpoint implementations and upgrades in varying capacities.
Mr. Heman-Ackah holds a baccalaureate from Howard University in Washington, DC. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland.
Mr. Bowser has over 20 years of experience in accounting and project management. He joined WiJiT in 2010 and serves as a Senior Systems Consultant. Mr. Bowser specializes in software configuration, training, and deployment of Deltek Costpoint®. Mr. Bowser has been able to combine his skills in accounting and project management to offer customers superior solutions.
Tony's experience as both a user and implementer of Deltek Costpoint® allows him to provide clients valuable insight into how to configure software and most efficiently operate the software.
Tony's broad experience ensures that projects are configured properly and stay within schedule. He has been responsible for several system implementations both in the U.S. and overseas, training of personnel, management of reporting requirements, and business process enhancements all utilizing Deltek Costpoint® accounting software and Cognos Impromptu®.
Mr. Bowser also provides advisory services for Government contractors including indirect cost rate structures, cost reporting and preparation and review of incurred cost submissions.
Susan brings 20+ years of experience in finance and accounting management roles, and has worked in both government contracting and commercial environments. In her role as Senior Consultant with WJ Technologies, LLC (WiJiT), Susan works with small and mid-sized government contractors implementing Deltek software solutions and assisting companies to achieve fully compliant accounting systems.
Susan’s experience also includes accounting policy creation and enforcement as well as internal control and compliance. She has extensive experience in working with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) on supporting accounting positions and resolving compliance issues.
Susan is a graduate of Virginia Tech, with an MBA in Finance and is a CPA licensed in Virginia.
Lesley joined W J Technologies, LLC (WiJiT) in 2010 and serves as a Senior Consultant. She works with small and mid-sized government contractors implementing Deltek software solutions and helping companies to become government contracting compliant, including FAR/CAS compliance. Lesley specializes in the configuration, implementation, and training of clients on Deltek’s GCS Premier® and Deltek Time and Expense™ software and government contracting compliance. She also serves as an interim Controller, DCAA audit liaison, and general audit liaison and trains staff, both finance and project managers, in government contract regulations and compliance.
Lesley’s prior experience includes teaching Government Contracting classes at George Mason University’s Office of Continuing Professional Education, teaching GCS Premier® and Time and Expense™ classes at Deltek, and teaching other teachers how to teach, as well as implementing GCS Premier and Time and Expense for new Deltek clients. She has managed the finance and accounting functions at small and medium-sized government contractors, including managing staff, managing cost proposal preparation, contract negotiations (both government and commercial), job cost/cost accounting, budgeting, cash management, bank communications, DCAA audits and auditors. Systems design and implementation has been integral to the success and achievement of these responsibilities.
Lesley graduated from American University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She is a member of the Northern Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, is a CPA licensed in Virginia, and a Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+).
Karen joined the firm’s Hi Tech Government Contracting Group in 2008 with twenty seven years of government contracting experience. She has expertise in accounting system implementations and conversions, manufacturing system requirements, indirect rate development, incurred cost submissions, FAR, CAS and DCAA requirements. Karen also has experience in Not for Profit accounting.
Prior to joining the firm, Karen was the Controller for a government contractor that designed and manufactured equipment for the U.S. Navy. In this position, her responsibilities included day-to-day oversight of the accounting staff, the management of financial statement preparation and reporting. She was also the primary point of contact for all DCAA inquiries, reviews, and audits, and she worked with consultants to implement processes, and conduct training programs. Karen also directed the implementation of the Deltek GCS Material Management suite within the company.
Karen received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Roanoke College and her Master of Business Administration in Finance from Loyola College.
As a consultant for WJ Technologies, LLC (WiJiT), Jason has over 6 years of experience with Deltek Time and Expense™ and payroll accounting for Deltek Costpoint® and GCS Premier®. He specializes in implementing Deltek Time and Expense™ and integrating it with Deltek GCS Premier® for government contractors.
Jason has implemented Deltek Time and Expense™ for over 85 government contractors. He has streamlined the setup process to minimize cost to the client while extracting the maximum use of functionality from the software. He has also worked with several large companies assisting with various aspects of the payroll process from timesheet entry to payroll processing. Along with his extensive payroll knowledge, Jason is trained in the Deltek products Deltek Time and Expense™, Deltek Costpoint®, Deltek GCS Premier® and Impromptu. He has helped clients simplify their business processes, define their timesheet policies to maintain DCAA compliance, as well as train their employees, supervisors, and administrators on efficient use of Deltek products.
Davian joined WJ Technologies, LLC (WiJiT) in 2010 and serves as the Senior Sales Executive. With over 15 years experience selling ERP applications to the public and private sector, he brings extensive payroll, human resource and financial application knowledge to his clients.
Davian's prior experience includes working with PeopleSoft, Ultimate Software and Best Software as well as with a local payroll service provider.
As Customer Account Manager, Dana brings over 15 years of experience working as an advocate for Deltek customers. A proven leader in managing customer services in the software and service industry, Dana has an exceptional ability to find win-win solutions for customers. She is an expert in building relationships with customers at all levels of an organization. Her leadership approach includes a unique ability to match customer needs with results-oriented strategies. She has successfully facilitated a variety of customer service courses. She also possesses a diverse background in sales, marketing, and events management.
