WiJiT Partners with PTAP

W.J. Technologies proudly partners with the Virginia Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP), in providing educational seminars for emerging government contractors.

The Virginia statewide PTAP at George Mason University’s School of Public Policy Mason Enterprise Center is a non-profit program funded by the Defense Logistics Agency, George Mason University.  PTAP  offers  a number of services to assist small businesses with all aspects of government contracting. PTAP provides in-depth marketing support, technical and business development consulting and educational services in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

WiJiT has engaged with George Mason’s PTAP program this year to provide quarterly classes in Unraveling the Mysteries of Fringe, Overhead and G&A.  The seminar has proven very popular with sold out classes.

Survival of the Fittest – What you Need to Know About the New DCAA Rules

In mid-2008, GAO issued an audit report accusing DCAA of a lack of independence, being too close to the contractors they audit and not adhering to accepted standards in their reports.

(GAO-08-857) Their response to that report was to change the grading scale for audit reports. The old scale provided for degrees of compliance and non-compliance.  The new scale is “pass/fail.” And failure carries a death sentence.
